The Railway Museum in Kościerzyna has the most numerous and growing exhibition of rail vehicles in northern Poland. In addition, the historic steam locomotive depot hall with workshop facilities is also an attraction. Since 2013, the project 'Pomeranian Railway Treasury - Revitalisation of the Historical Objects of the Steam Locomotive Depot Complex in Kościerzyna' has been ongoing. This project, co-financed by the Regional Operational Programme for the Pomeranian Voivodeship, is proceeding in several stages. The steam depot hall and office building, dating back to the 1930s, have been subject to revitalisation. Subsequently, the former workshop rooms will be adapted for the new permanent exhibition, equipped with multimedia. Visitors will also be able to see moving mock-ups depicting the Kościerzyna railway station and the magnetic railway. With the visually impaired in mind, the museum will feature bronze models of two steam locomotives and the Steam Depot Complex, described in Braille.
